Jesus did not tell the disciples to pray for the sick. He told them to “Heal the sick”. (Matthew 10:8) Big difference. Really big difference. So please do not pray for the sick. Heal them!
You are about to learn how to do that.
Peter did not pray for the sick. He gave them something. “Such as I have give I thee.” (Acts 3:6)
Same with Jesus. “Someone touched me; I know that power has gone out from me.” (Luke 8:46)
Same with Paul. In fact, there was so much power coming out of Paul that even his handkerchiefs would heal people. (Acts 19:12) So much power was coming out of Peter that people got healed just by getting near him. (Acts 5:15)
This is because “The kingdom of God is not a matter of talk, but of power.” (1 Corinthians 4:20)
So, once again, please do not pray for the sick. Please do not ask Jesus to do your job. (No wonder your prayers for healing hardly ever work.)
You must learn how to get filled up with a spiritual substance called “dunamis” (the power of God) and how to give it away.
The physical world consists of many physical substances – like the earth, trees, houses, people, and so on. The spiritual world consists of spiritual substances as well – like faith for example. “Faith is the substance of things hoped for.” (Hebrews 11:1)
But the spiritual world does not just have one substance. There are many substances in the spiritual world, such as hope, love, healing, power, glory, belief, courage, forgiveness, and joy.
There are many negative substances in the spiritual world as well – like doubt, unbelief, fear, and hatred.
Learning how to transfer spiritual substances from one location, to another location, will dramatically improve almost every area of your Christian life. You are about to learn how to transfer substances (like faith) from heaven – into your own heart. How to transfer negative substances (like fear) from your heart – over to Jesus. And how to transfer substances (like power) from your heart – over to other people.
Let’s start with love. If you love someone you might decide to give them gifts, look into their eyes, say “I love you”, do things that they ask you to do, read a book they wrote, or even lay down your life for them.
But none of those outward activities are love. You could do all those things, and still not love the person at all. For example, you could read the Bible, obey God’s commandments, and lay down your life for God – without actually loving Him. You might be doing them simply because you firmly believe that you have to do them, to get to go to heaven.
All of those things are outward activities. Outward activites are the things that people do because they are in love with someone OR just because they think those are the smart thing to do.
But they are not love itself. Love is different than that. Love is a spiritual substance. Love only happens when a you actually choose to transfer a spiritual substance (called “love”) over to someone else.
Sure you can say the words, “I love you” to someone but that doesn’t necessarily mean that you really love them. Sure you can say the words, “I love you” to Jesus, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that you really love Jesus. That is just saying some words. Words are not enough.
To love Jesus (and obey the greatest commandment) you must actually choose to transfer a spiritual substance (“love”) – over to Him.
It is too bad that love doesn’t automatically flow out of your heart. But opening up to exchange love makes you extremely vulnerable for experiencing more pain. Wounded hearts don’t do that automatically. It is extremely difficult for a wounded heart to even choose to send love because there is so much risk of experiencing more pain.
Love does not happen automatically. Love is a choice. In order for you to love Jesus, you have to actually choose to send love over to Him.
In fact, you have actually been commanded to use all of your heart, soul, mind, and strength – to send love over to Jesus. “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.” (Mark 12:30)
This is the greatest commandment. So this is actually the very most important thing for you to do in your entire life!
Once you do that, God will be able to transfer huge amounts of spiritual substances, like healing and dunamis, though you (to heal other people) because you won’t take any glory for yourself anymore.
It is important to read the Bible and to pray. (Those are essential minor parts of Christianity.) But they don’t count for loving Jesus. Those are outward activities. Your mind is not intentionally choosing to transfer love while it is busy reading the Bible or asking Jesus for things.
Bible reading and prayer are important. But the most important thing in life is for you to obey the greatest commandment. This only happens when you are consciously choosing to send the substance of love, out of your heart, over to Jesus.
Sure you can tell someone, “Jesus loves you”. But what good would that do? You are just saying some words to try to get their mind to think correctly.
Your evangelism efforts will be much more successful if you actually transfer a spritual substance (love) from one location (your heart) – over to another location (their heart). After that happens they are much more likely to open up their heart and let Jesus Himself come on in.
Sure you could hear sermons at church, and read the Bible. But what good would that do if you mind and heart are full of a spiritual substance called “unbelief”?
It is too bad that Bible teaching doesn’t remove negative spiritual substances. But it doesn’t. Words and spiritual substances are two different things. In order for you to remove unbelief, your heart will have to actually choose to open up, and let the substance of unbelief drain out to Jesus on the cross.
Hearing Bible teachings (and reading the Bible) will be much more help to you after all the unbelief is drained out of you and replaced with the spiritual substance called “belief”.
Sure you could pray for an hour every day. But what good would that do if your mind and heart are full of a spiritual substance called “doubt”? Words are not enough. What is needed is to drain out doubt and get filled back up with the spiritual substance called “faith”.
Have you ever wished that you had more faith for something? Well, the life changing revelation here is that you can get more faith simply by transferring it from heaven – into your heart.
Anyone can pray. Anyone can say some words. So what!
What matters is whether you can actually transfer power or not. “The kingdom of God is not a matter of talk, but of power.” (1 Corinthians 4:20)
Have you ever been frustrated about your prayers not being answered? It is mostly because no one ever taught you how to transfer power before. It is like someone giving you extensive training on how to shoot a gun, but never giving you any bullets. The church, as a whole, has been powerless.
Sure you can say, “I plead the blood”. But what good would that do? You are just saying some words. For anything to happen you must actually transfer a spiritual substance (blood) from one location (the cross) – over to another location (your heart).
Sure you can sing songs to Jesus. But what good would that do if you are just singing some words? Words are not enough. Worship is an actual gift that you need to give Him. For worship to happen you have to actually transfer a spiritual substance (worship) from one location (your heart) – over to another location (Jesus).
Sure you can hear some brilliant words of advice from a counselor. But what good would that do if your heart is full of a spiritual substance called “pain”?
Words are not enough. For a inner healing to happen, you have to transfer a spiritual substance (pain) – from one location (your heart) – over to another location (Jesus on the cross). Then you will need to transfer the spiritual substance (healing) – from heaven, into your heart.
Confessing your sins does get you forgiveness. (1 John 1:9) It just doesn’t set you free. Have you ever confessed a sin, and then still felt really bad about it even years later. It is because you haven’t drained out the guilt yet.
Sure you can say the words, “I forgive you” to someone. But words alone don’t accomplish anything.
For forgiveness to happen you will need to transfer a spiritual substance (unforgiveness) from one location (your heart) – over to another location (Jesus on the cross). Next, you will need to fill your heart back up with the spiritual substance called “forgiveness”. Then you will need to send the spiritual substance (forgiveness) from one location (your heart) – over to the person you are choosing to forgive.
The Bible says that we should pray for the sick.
“Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up.” (James 5:14-15)
The problem is that almost never works. It is so frustrating! Either we simply do not have enough faith, or we have been missing something.
So often, we think, “Maybe the words that I pray will make a difference. Maybe they will help. Maybe if I just pray the right words, they will get healed.”
No, that is not it. “The kingdom of God is not a matter of talk, but of power.” (1 Corinthians 4:20)
Jesus, our role model, only used two words (be healed) when he prayed for the sick. But even those words most not have mattered very much. After all, the woman with the issue of blood got healed without Jesus saying anything. “At once Jesus realized that power had gone out from him. He turned around in the crowd and asked, “Who touched my clothes?” (Mark 5:30)
The word “power” is from the Greek word “dunamis”, which means “miraculous power”. The reason the woman with an issue of blood got healed (on that particular day) was because a spiritual substance (“dunamis”) flowed into her.
Sure you can pray for someone. Sure you can say some words. But what good would that do if you are just saying some words. The words you say don’t heal anyone. They are just words. For a healing to happen a spiritual substance must be transferred from one location (heaven or Jesus) – over to another location (the sick person).
But who, exactly, is supposed to transfer the dunamis from heaven – over to the sick person? Should you ask Jesus to do that job? Or are you supposed to do it?
The answer is found in Matthew 10:5-8. “These twelve Jesus sent out with the following instructions: “Do not go among the Gentiles or enter any town of the Samaritans. Go rather to the lost sheep of Israel. As you go, proclaim this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven has come near.’ Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.”
So, it turns out that you are the one that is supposed to heal the sick. This means that, in the past, whenever you have asked Jesus to heal someone, what you were really saying was, “Jesus, I don’t want to do what you told me to do.”
No wonder it hardly ever works to ask Jesus to heal someone.
Once again, Jesus said that you are the one who is supposed to heal the sick. Then, thankfully, He explained how to do it: “Freely you have received. Freely give.”
Hmmmmmm. Let’s see. What is it that you could receive, and then give away, that would heal a sick person?
The answer is “a spiritual substance called healing or a spiritual substance called dunamis”. Dunamis is the Greek word for miraculous power. That is what healed the woman with an issue of blood. A spiritual substance (dunamis) flowed from one location (Jesus) – over to another location (the woman).
In other words, to heal someone, you need to receive some dunamis, and then give it away. Another way to say this is that dunamis needs to be transferred from Jesus (or heaven) – over to you. And then from you – over to the sick person. “Freely you have received. Freely give.”
This is what Peter did.
“Peter and John looked at him intently, and Peter said, “Look at us!” The lame man looked at them eagerly, expecting some money. But Peter said, “I don’t have any silver or gold for you. But I’ll give you what I have. In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, get up and walk!” (Acts 3:4-6)
The crippled man did not get healed because Peter prayed the correct words. The crippled man did not get healed because Peter asked Jesus to heal him. The crippled man got healed, on that particular day, because Peter gave him some dunamis.
But Peter said the crippled man got healed because of faith. “Through faith in the name of Jesus, this man was healed — and you know how crippled he was before. Faith in Jesus’ name has healed him before your very eyes.” (Acts 3:16)
True. Very true. That was the correct amount of truth for Peter to say to those specific people, at that specific time.
But that was not the whole truth! Peter had faith in the name of Jesus when he walked by the crippled man the day before. Nothing changed about Peter’s faith. The reason the crippled man got healed, on that particular day, was because Peter gave him some dunamis.
Peter, humbly, did not take any credit for his part in the healing. But, nevertheless, he still did something that was absolutely essential for the healing to happen. He gave the crippled man some dunamis.
Peter is our role model. We are supposed to give people dunamis, and then not take a bit of credit for what we did.
Let’s look again at the Bible verses about the woman with an issue of blood. Notice that Jesus (like Peter) said that faith was the most important ingredient.
“You see the people crowding against you,” his disciples answered, “and yet you can ask, ‘Who touched me?’ But Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it. Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell at his feet and, trembling with fear, told him the whole truth. He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.” (Mark 5:31-34)
Yes, her faith was the key factor. But faith wasn’t the only thing that was needed. The reason she got healed (on that particular day) was because some dunamis flowed into her.
Hopefully you can see by now that healing is not only about faith. And it doesn’t really matter which words you pray either. If no spiritual substance gets transferred – then no healing will happen.
We have always just assumed that the way to heal the sick was to get a lot of faith, and then try real hard to say the correct words, that would get Jesus to heal them.
But we were wrong. That way hardly ever works because our job assignment is not to say the right words. Our job assignment is to give them power (dunamis). “The kingdom of God is not a matter of talk, but of power.” (1 Corinthians 4:20) “Such as I have give I thee.” (Acts 3:6)
The ability to transfer dunamis is what we have been missing all these years. Here is how to do it.
1. Get your heart healed so you can transfer spiritual substances.
2. Download some faith and dunamis into your heart.
3. Wait until Jesus says to release it.
4. Say, “Be healed”.
5. Release some dunamis.
6. Give Jesus all the credit.
HOW TO TRANSFER SPIRITUAL SUBSTANCES
DOWNLOAD SPIRITUAL SUBSTANCES FROM HEAVEN
“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights.” (James 1:17)
There are many substances in heaven – like faith, love, healing, and dunamis (miraculous power). All Christians have the authority to access heaven and release spiritual substances. “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” (Matthew 16:19)
So, for example, you can transfer the substance of healing from heaven – into your heart. Then you would actually have some healing that you could give away to sick people.
Close your physical eyes and pray, “Holy Spirit, please take me to the door of heaven.” (It helps to actually choose to see a door into heaven with your spiritual eyes.)
“In the name of Jesus, I release the substance of healing (then pause) . . . . . now.”
Whenever I do this, I see a trap door above me, with a rope hanging down. When I say the word “now” I pull that rope and it is like a huge waterfall gets dumped onto me.
It is important to do the bit where you pause, and then say “now”. This is because it is much more effective when you actually release a spiritual substance at a particular point in time.
Sometimes it is helpful for you to repeat the step where you see the door into heaven, and you say, “I release the substance of healing . . . . . . . now.” And then you pull the door open again.
THEN LET THE SUBSTANCE COME INTO YOUR HEART
At this point, the substance of healing is falling down onto the outside of your heart. Sadly, getting the substance of healing out of heaven, and onto the outside of your heart, still accomplishes absolutely nothing. If this is as far as the substance gets, then nothing will happen.
The heart has to actually choose to open up to let the substance come in, or nothing will happen. It is like a thirsty man diving into a lake. Diving into a lake accomplishes nothing. Even if he opens his mouth to let water come in, it still accomplishes absolutely nothing. To fix his thirst problem the man has to actually choose to open up his mouth, and actually choose to drink in water, and actually choose to swallow it.
This is why the people that were around the women with an issue of blood, did not get any dunamis, even when they accidentally bumped into Jesus. They didn’t open up their hearts to let it in.
This also explains why so many people don’t get any increase in freedom, joy, or healing, when they have dramatic encounters with Jesus. It is because they don’t open up their heart to let spiritual substances come on in.
So, the first thing that you will need to say to a wounded part of your heart is, “Please, open up to let in some healing.” Usually, if you just wait a while, your heart will do that.
You can often tell when a spiritual substance actually begins to come in because the part of you heart will start saying things like, “Oh, wow, I didn’t know. I didn’t know. I didn’t know. What is this? Is this okay? Thank you. Thank you.”
Then, after you let healing flow into the top part of your heart for a while, say, “Thanks, now please actually pull in the healing.”
Okay. Here is a review of how to transfer spiritual substances from heaven – over to you.
1. “In the name of Jesus, I access heaven, I open a door into heaven, and I release the substance of _____________ (faith, love, glory, healing, power, dunamis, etc.) (then pause) ….. now.”
On the word “now” you can reach up with your spirit (and with your hand if you want) and pull an imaginary cord that is attached to a trap door into heaven.
Since you are standing directly under the trap door, the spiritual substance pours out of heaven onto you. You might need to repeat that until you see (or sense) the spiritual substance pouring out of heaven onto the outside of you.
2. Then say to the part, “Please open up a little to let this substance come in.” The part opens up to let the substance come in.
Wait (and perhaps repeat the earlier steps) until you sense a flow of the substance coming into the part.
3. Then the part has to actually pull the substance deeper into the part.
4. Then the part pulls the substance even deeper into the part.
5. Sometimes you can say this to the part, “Please open up wider to let this substance come in even faster.”
You can also get spiritual substances directly from Jesus. The previous page (Heal Your Own Wounded Heart) explained how to transfer substances from Jesus – over to you. Practice getting substances from heaven and from Jesus. Then do whichever one works best for you.
Negative spiritual substances automatically leave whenever a positive spiritual substance comes in. But sometimes it just takes too long to get rid of them that way. It is much faster to drain negative substances out of you – onto Jesus on the cross.
1. Say, “I speak to _____________ “ (my heart, all the parts inside my heart, all the parts inside my mind, etc.)
2. “I cancel your assignment to hold onto ______________ .” (pain, unbelief, fear, doubt, anger, guilt, rejection, shame, lust, regret, addiction, etc.)
3. “Plese open up and release the substance of _____________ ……. now.”
4. “Let it go. Let it drain out to Jesus on the cross.”
If it doesn’t work it is either because you just need some more practice, or the part has some reservations about doing it. So, ask the part if it really wants to get rid of this stuff. Then patiently explain why it should let the substance go. Then try again. The key here is to let it drain.
Another way to get rid of negative spiritual substances is simply to give them to Jesus, instead of letting them drain out to Jesus on the cross.
1. Have the part inside you say, “Jesus, will you please take this _________?” (Ex. pain, fear, unbelief, doubt, etc.)
2. Wait until you hear (or sense) a “yes” from Jesus.
3. Have the part gather up the substance and bring it to Jesus, and give it to Him.
4. Wait briefly and then ask the part what is happening?
5. You might see a vision of the transfer. For example, you might see your heart hand a box to Jesus. Another time you could be unloading crates with a fork lift. Neither one is the “right” way. Those are just examples.
(Yes, you might just be using your imagination, or it might be something actually that is happening in the spirit. Either way is fine. The imagination is an ability that can be used either negatively or positively. Here your imagination is being used in a positive way.)
6. Wait. Let the vision play out. It might seem that the substance still kind of sticks to you for a while. So hang in there until you can sense that “you are here, and Jesus clearly has it over there”.
7. Go get another load.
It is easy for your adult mind to slip in there and start doing things. When you notice that, then switch back over and have your part do it. If the part is too scared to do anything with Jesus, then have the part give the negative substance to you, and then you give it to Jesus.
HAVE AN INTIMATE RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS
Intimacy with Jesus, more than anything else, determines how much miraculous power flows through you.
GET YOUR OWN HEART HEALED
Physical healing is largely a heart issue for both the sender and the receiver. A heart has to be clean, healed, and open to be able to transfer dunamis (miraculous power) to other people. So the main thing to do to heal the sick is to clean and heal your own heart.
This is mostly done by getting Jesus into more of your heart. Most people will need to get Jesus into more of their heart to have true intimacy with Him. Also, the more percentage of your heart that has Jesus in it, the more useable heart space you have to transfer spiritual substances. The previous page on this website explains how to heal your own heart.
It is especially important to drain pain out of your heart. Sure your mind wants to heal the sick. But healing the sick is done with your heart. And your heart is not going to do any of these things, as long as it is still full of disappointment from the last time you prayed for someone, and they did not get healed.
Trust is also a key ingredient. Without trust you try. Which gets your soul and will power involved. So be sure to download trust into your heart.
Also, download healing into the eyes of your heart. Then download healing into the connection that is between the eyes of your heart, and the rest of you. This will help you to be able to see things in the spirit.
LEARN HOW TO TRANSFER SPIRITUAL SUBSTANCES
Healing the sick does not involve prayer. It won’t do any good to pray, “I release healing power.” And then just hope (by faith) that something happens.
It won’t do any good to pray, “Such as I have give I thee.” That is just saying some words. That won’t do a bit of good.
Here we are healing the sick the way that Jesus said to do it in Matthew 10:6-8. You have to freely receive something, and then freely give it away. Specifically, the way to heal the sick is to get filled up with a spiritual substance called healing (or miraculous power) and then actually release it.
Of course, we would all like to start out by doing miracles. We would all like to be be able to send dunamis (miraculous power) into the sick. But that would be like starting out by trying to send 1,000 volts of electricity into someone. Besides not being a good idea for beginners to have that much power, the sick person’s heart would probably be scared of that power, and remain closed. So the power wouldn’t accomplish the healing anyway.
It is wiser to begin by learning how to transfer the spiritual substance called “healing”. It is like starting out by learning how to handle 110 volts. After you learn how to transfer the substance of healing, you can move on to transferring miraculous power – the way Peter did it that day at the temple.
Here is how to transfer the substance of healing. Send love into your own spirit. Have your spirit turn, choose to see Jesus, open up, and let healing come in. Then release it into the sick person, by saying, “Be healed ….. now.”
On the word “now” – touch their forehead, open up your spirit, let the healing out, and send it to their heart – all at the same time.
At that instant the healing will flow out of your spirit, through your heart, over to their heart, and into the sick part of their body.
Wow! That sounds great! But how do you do those things? How do you get your spirit to turn, open up, and let healing come in? How do you release healing and send it over to their heart?
I’m sorry. There are no words available that can explain how to do internal things like that. So you are going to have to figure out how to do those things on your own, by trial and error. You will have to try doing different things – with your mind, heart, and spirit – until something works.
You could experiment by trying to send healing into a really spiritually sensitive person. That person can give you valuable feedback about what works and what doesn’t.
Once you figure out what to do internally to transfer substances, you will probably have to practice a lot to get good at it. Paul filled up handkerchiefs with power. So, you could practice by sending healing into a handkerchief.
Jesus could sense when dunamis flowed out of Him. So keep on practicing until you can really sense that a spiritual substance really came out. Also, send healing into sick people. You will know that you are really transferring healing when they start getting healed.
Another tip is to ask the eyes of your heart to look outward. Choose to see (with the eyes of your heart) spiritual substances flowing from one location to another location. You can see the healing flowing, if you want to see it, and if you choose to connect with the eyes of your heart.
Please don’t expect to be able to transfer spiritual substances the first few times you try it. It takes a lot of practice to learn any worthwhile new skill. For example, it takes years of practice to learn how to play the piano. Surely transferring healing into sick people is just as important as that!
Yes, it is going to be a long time until you are able to do this. (Because you will have to get your heart healed and practice a lot.) But at least now you know specifically what to do to heal the sick.
Which is a whole lot better than the old way. (Which almost never worked.) The old way was to say a lot of words. And then hope that your words were good enough to persuade Jesus to heal the person.
Of course the old way didn’t work. It was based on the assumption that you are the good guy that wants the healing, and Jesus is the bad guy who doesn’t. And He will only heal if you have enough faith and happen to say just the right words that would talk Him into it. (sigh)
Thankfully, Jesus heals despite our prayers. But you will have much more success when you start healing people the way that Jesus said to do it in Matthew 10.
GET READY TO HEAL
Ideally you will be able to spend at least forty-five minutes doing the following things right before you go do any ministry:
1. Drain negative spiritual substances out of you – like unbelief and doubt.
2. Download positive spiritual substances into you – like faith and healing.
3. Let the spiritual substance called “protection” cover all the way around your entire body.
4. Practice getting filled up with healing, and then releasing it.
5. Spend time enjoying the presence of Jesus.
6. Talk to the sick person before you do any ministry.
Tell them that you would like to send healing over to their heart. And you would like them to open up their heart to let it come in. See if that is okay with them. Their heart is much more likely to open up and receive what you give them – if you talk with them about what to do ahead of time.
It is very important to look at the person with your heart, and send the substance of love (or delight) into them, while you are talking. Heaing flows on streams of love. The healing ministry is not just about you and Jesus doing spiritual stuff. It is more about having compassion for people and loving them.
FILL YOUR SPIRIT UP WITH HEALING
1. Send love into your own spirit
2. Choose to perceive out of your spirit
3. Have your spirit turn
4. Choose to see Jesus
5. Open up
6. Let in the love that is coming out of Him.
7. Let in the substance of healing that is coming out from Him.
8. Let the healing flow through your spirit into your heart.
9. Your heart opens up and lets healing come in, until it is full of healing.
“Freely you have received, freely give.” (Matthew 10:8)
You don’t release healing (or miraculous power) when you think it is a good idea. You only release it, if (and when) your commander tells you to fire. Jesus is much more likely to send healing and dunamis through you, if you always follow His guidance on what to do.
Ask Jesus when to release it. Wait until He says to release it.
Touch their forehead, and say out loud, “Be healed …..now.” (Your touch and concern will help their heart open up to receive what you are giving them.)
It is extremely helpful to release healing at a specific moment in time. When you say, “Now”, you need to open up, release healing, let it out, let go of it, and choose to send it (to their heart) – all at the exact same time. You flip a switch, click, bam, that’s it, done.
Healing flows through your heart, and out of your heart, over to wherever you direct it. Direct it to a specific location. Direct it to their heart, even for a physical healing elsewhere in their body.
You can use your imagination to see the healing flow. But it is much better to actually use the eyes of your heart to see it go.
When you release healing, it will shoot out. It contains enough energy to shoot out, and over to them, by itself. You don’t have to will it (push it) to get it over there. No additional push is needed. Assume it will get there by itself. Trust.
So, technically you don’t have to do anything to transfer the healing or to send it somewhere. You simply choose to release it, and it will instantly shoot over to where you direct it. Choose to focus on your target, which is their heart, and it will instantly be there.
THEIR HEART HAS TO RECEIVE THE HEALING
Sure your mind wants to zap the person and see an instant healing. And their mind does too. But it will probably only happen if:
1. You have intimacy with Jesus.
2. Your heart is healed enough to transfer spiritual substances.
3. You transfer healing or dunamis over to their heart.
4. Their heart turns, opens up, and chooses to let the healing (or dunamis) come in.
Opening up your heart makes you vulnerable for experiencing more pain. Wounded hearts don’t want to to that. (And we all have wounded hearts.) But if their heart does choose to open up to receive healing, then it will immediately go directly to where it is needed.
Their heart has to choose to accept the healing (or dunamis) for the healing to happen. This is not a given, even if they asked for prayer. This is a heart issue for them, not a head (intelligence) issue. Many hearts are just too severely wounded to turn, or to open up. Especially if it is something as powerful, and intimidating, as a gigantic quantity of dunamis.
Talking to them, loving them, hugging them, and sending the substance of healing to them – will all help to get their heart to open up. Their heart is much more likely to open up for healing than for miraculous power. You might even have to send healing to them many times, before their heart will open up to let it in.
Then ask Jesus what to do next. If He says to release dunamis, then get filled up with dunamis, and release it directly it to their heart.
Everything is summed up in the following chart. Planning things out ahead of time, will keep you from getting off track later on with unimportant things – like figuring out where to put your hands, what words to say, and what words to pray.
This way you will be able to keep your entire focus on what really matters. Which is getting filled up with healing and dunamis and releasing them when Jesus tells you to release them.
Get cleaned off after you do ministry. It must always be a team ministry. Humble yourself. Submit yourself to someone else to brush off anything that is not of God. Be very grateful to them for that.
One more thing. You are not a real spiritual person with a lot of power. You are a humble servant kneeling in front of Jesus, just like everyone else.

|Out||Your heart turns and looks at the sick person. Send love (or delight) into them while you are talking.
Say, “I would like to put my hand on your shoulder while I am getting ready. Then I would like to put my hand on your forehead and release healing into you. Is that okay?”
“When I touch your forehead, I would like you to open up your heart to let that healing come in. Will you do that?”
“Please do not pray during this time. Just close your eyes and open up your heart. Thank you.”
|In||Put your hand on their shoulder. Your spirit turns, chooses to see Jesus, opens up, and lets healing flow through it into your heart. Your heart opens, and stays open, until it is full of healing.||X|
|Say (in your mind), “Jesus, when should I release it?”
Wait until He says to release it.
|Out||Put your hand on their forehead.
Say, “Be healed ….. now.” Release it on the word “now”.
Your heart opens and lets healing shoot over to their heart.
|Out||Say, “Good job. You did great. Can I hug you? Let’s do it again.”
Then get filled up with healing again and release it.
|X||Out||Say, “Good job. Now I would like to listen to Jesus to see what to do next.” Then do whatever Jesus says to do. If He wants you to release dunamis (miraculous power) then get filled up with dunamis and release it.||X|
|Get cleaned off after you do ministry.|
The healing of the heart is usually a prerequisite for the healing of the body. Your heart is the gateway for receiving healing. So the key to getting a physical healing is to heal your heart so it becomes soft, pliable, open, and receptive. The previous page, Heal Your Own Wounded Heart, explains how to do it. This could take several months.
Part of getting your heart healed is the removal of negative spiritual substances like pain, fear, unforgiveness, guilt, doubt, and unbelief. Those negative spiritual substances in your heart (and mind) are the breeding ground for many physical sicknesses in your body. So you must remove those negative spiritual substances to have good physical health.
Then you will need to receive the spiritual substance of healing (or dunamis). Dunamis is the miraculous power of God. It contains the healing that you need.
You can transfer healing (or dunamis) into yourself. Or you can have someone else give it to you.
When healing (or dunamis) is released, your heart will have to open up to let it in. So, at that point, your heart will need to turn, look at Jesus, open up, trust, and receive. Sometimes it helps if you heart actually pulls in the substance that is being sent to you.
Do this chart one column at a time.
|Mind||Heart||Sick or Injured Part||Heart|
|Out||Pain – from not being healed when you got prayed for before.||X||X|
|Out||Evil spirit of _________ . (infirmity or a specific disease)||X|
|Out||Give the sickness to Jesus.||X|
|Out||Give the physical pain to Jesus.||X|
|In||Faith I am going to be healed.||X|
|In||Belief I am going to be healed.||X|
|Turn and choose to see Jesus.||X|
|In||Open up. Trust. Recive. Let in healing (or dunamis). Then pull it in.||X|
|In||Belief I am being healed.||X|
IF THEY DON’T GET HEALED
It would be pretty easy to pray for the sick if they always got healed. What is impressive are the people who continually pray for the sick even though they hardly ever get any results. That is sacrifice. That is pure courage. Those people are my heroes.
Physical healing involves two hearts. Healing power usually has to flow through your heart, and through their heart, to get to the sick part of their body.
So, when someone does not get healed – the problem might be on your end. Maybe your heart has been severely wounded. So you are currently only living life with part of your heart. In that case, you are only able to contain and transfer small amounts of spiritual substances.
Same with the sick person. Maybe they have extremely thick walls around an extremely wounded heart. These walls keep everything out, including the substances that you sent to them.
The goal is for you to do enough on your end, so that you are able to release enough power to get through the other person’s protective walls, no matter how thick they may be.
The main way to transfer more miraculous power is to heal your own heart, so you can have even more intimacy with Jesus. But that will probably take several months. Are you willing to do several months of hard work so that you can heal people who are sick? They will be very grateful if you are willing to sacrifice for them in this way.
The main way to heal your heart is to let Jesus into more parts of your heart.
But there is another possibility. Maybe your heart is just fine. Maybe people haven’t been getting healed because you have been praying for them – instead of transferring spiritual substances into them!
Maybe you just need more practice at transferring spiritual substances so you will get better at it.
Keep on practicing until you actually have something to give away. The goal is to be like Peter, and say, “Such as I have give I thee.” (Acts 3:6) And then actually be able to give them something – miraculous power.
Have you ever wished that you could touch someone and they would be healed? Well, it is time to stop reading and praise God for a while, because (finally) someone has taught you some specific things that you can do, that will help you attain that goal.
A CONVERSATION WITH JESUS
Here is transcript of a conversation I had with Jesus today. Whenever I ask Jesus for specific information, I take exact word-for-word dictation as He talks.
Kirby: I just explained three different ways to get dunamis. Which one is the best way?
Jesus: It needs to come out of intimacy Kirby. To prevent you (or anyone) from getting off track. Having the ability to throw power around can very easily lead to deception (pride).
It is more about your level of intimacy with Me (than anything else) that determines how much dunamis flows through you. Intimacy is way more than having encounters (experiences) with Me. It is two hearts knit together. It is way beyond words. It is more than that. It is heart connections. Interwoven-ness. That needs to be your number one desire. Not the ability (capacity) to transfer large amounts of power.
Kirby: This comes from getting you into all of our hearts and getting our hearts all back together. Right?
Jesus: Yes. That matters. A first step. But it is way more than that. Please go after more than that. Intimacy. Interwoven-ness.
Kirby: How do I do that?
Jesus: Time together. Surrender. Rest time together that accomplishes absolutely nothing that is seemingly important. Joy unspeakable are these peaceable times together. Intimacy. Oneness. Without any hurry to get there. You and Me. Me and you. That’s it.
